Donny van de Beek has agreed to join Everton on loan, The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports.
Everton are reported to have reached an arrangement with United on Saturday and would pay Van de Beek’s whole wage throughout his stay, and on Sunday, the 24-year-old made a choice regarding his future.
Additionally, it is said that the 24-year-old was a target for a former director of football Marcel Brands prior to this season and has emerged as Everton’s top priority acquisition this window.
Everton are said to have discussed Van de Beek’s acquisition with potential managerial prospects as they seek to replace Rafa Benitez.
Crystal Palace have also indicated an interest in the midfielder, and the two clubs have held negotiations.
Since arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2020, Donny van de Beek has battled for game time at Old Trafford. He has appeared in just 579 Premier League minutes over two seasons – less than seven full matches.
