Everton manager Frank Lampard has revealed that winger Andros Townsend is set to miss the remainder of the season with an injury.
The Englishman suffered a serious injury in the club’s humiliating 4-0 loss away from home in the FA Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace and according to Lampard, the player isn’t expected to return to action soon.
“It looks bad, we think it’s a knee injury. Andros Townsend got his studs stuck in the grass. Well scan him over the next day or two, but the early signs are that it will be a bad knee injury,” Lampard said in his post-match interview.

The injury will be a blow to Lampard whose side is in a precautious position as the league heads to its homestretch.
The Liverpool-based side is placed 17th with 25 points just three points off the relegation zone with a match against Champions League chasing West Ham coming next in their roster.
